ABOUT VIRTUAL SHOWS
Virtual Dressage Shows was created to provide riders and horses an alternative venue for showing. Equestrians can now video tape their rides in the comfort of their own home or favorite venue at the convenience of their own designed schedule. There are many reasons that Virtual Dressage Shows are appealing for riders. Due to the heavy and daunting schedules we typically face today, many riders enjoy the flexibility of being able to ride when they can. Regardless of the reason, the Virtual Dressage Shows have increasingly grown in popularity and is continually growing interest. Judges are selected that are either approved for local schooling show circuits or they are actual recognized Dressage Judges! What an opportunity to get feedback from an actual judge about your riding and your horse.
Another key element that makes the Virtual Dressage shows so unique are the variety of classes that they offer, such as: Western Dressage, Gaited Dressage and regular dressage classes. What an amazing opportunity for any equestrian enthusiast! Furthermore, the riders are scored and placed just as it is done at a regular horse show. Virtual shows can offer several options for other USDF GMO's to participate in the virtual shows such as sanctioning them with current shows running or having a seperate show for their fundraising efforts.

NEWS!
A New Virtual Shows Test!
The purpose of the new My Virtual Dressage Show Walk-Trot test is to bring in more opportunities for equestrians to put their riding to the test and to review, critique, and judge how horse and rider are developing together as a pair. The test is also perfect for equestrians that might not be ready for the big ring yet but want to get feedback on how they are doing in their training.
The test is also helpful for giving peewee riders an opportunity to ride in a show but at a more familiar level since we all started on the circle. There has been a lot of interest in the virtual shows and many questions and concerns about not having a full-size ring. This test helps bridge that gap to our members and allows them an additional opportunity to participate in the virtual show fun. There will also be a walk - trot - canter test created soon for riders as well.
The method for how to video the ride would be the same criteria as in the regular tests. Sample rides are available on the virtual show's website to view for ideas on how to videotape the tests.
The new walk trot test will be available on the virtual show website to download and use for practice. If riders choose to submit the video of the new Walk-Trot test then they can select the Test of Choice (TOC) class and enter in the test name, MVDS Walk-Trot Test.
