Common questions about My Virtual Dressage Shows (MVDS).
1. Do you have to be a USDF GMO member to participate?
No, anyone can submit an entry but you must be a GMO member of that organization at the time of the ride to count towards Year End Awards for that GMO.
2. What size ring should I use?
The Standard ring size for a USDF Intro and Training level dressage tests can be ridden in either a small court (20mx40m) or large court ring (20mx60m). All other dressage tests above First level must be ridden in a large court ring (20mx60m).
3. How should the letters be placed?
The letters should be at the rail or up to 3 feet back (depending on how you have the ring set up). The judge should be able to see the letters, or markers. Cones can be used to help identify locations.
4. What should I wear for the video?
Riders should wear "clinic" like attire. Lighter color pants and darker top or jacket unless you are wearing your white show blouse and appropriate boots. Western riders in the Western Dressage tests would wear appropriate western rail class apparel.
5. What if my ring is not the right size?
The general rules for MVDS allow rings to be shorter (about 6 to 10 feet total for either side). If you still have questions about this please contact MVDS organizer.
6. Where are the general rules about the VS?
